Seagrass House
Nestled in a beachfront valley prone to bushfire, this robust house takes its cues from the surrounding landscape, particularly the colours and textures of the rocky headland which are reflected in the hues and forms of corbelled brickwork.
A brick entry wall engages with the separate service pavilion to create a sequential approach to the house from the lane. Inside the house, the spatial arrangement expresses patterns of movement and habitation, occupying the edges, suspended in the trees and overlooking the beach.
