The life of a 15 storey office building, constructed in the early 1970s has been extended indefinitely. Rather than demolish the building and build anew, a series of carefully considered amendments to the building fabric have been made, including facade rectification, altering the entry sequence, new break out spaces and the upgrading of all services areas. When complete, the building's embodied energy will be only around 55% of a new build solution the same size.
